Welcome to Washington!
Welcome to my new tribute page for the Almost Live! sketch comedy show, which aired for over 15 years on King 5 Television here in Seattle. Although centered around the comprehensive episode guide, there is also a lot of information about the people who appeared in the show . Because many of these people are still involved in entertainment here in Seattle, any performances that I am aware of ( or become aware of ), may be found there as well. You may sometimes see upcoming local events in the right hand column of various pages, with links to the actor's site giving you more information.
First and foremost, enable javascript for these pages! Let me repeat - ENABLE JAVASCRIPT! Otherwise, you will see ugly screens, be unable to move around, and your browser will become a useless lump of bits that even the Seattle City Dump won't accept. With scripting enabled, menus will function, photos will transition, news will slide, birds will sing, etc.
Use the latest version of your browser! I do the bulk of my testing in Mozilla Firefox 4, although I also load up Safari, Chrome, and IE on occasion. GeorgeBuford dot com is designed for a window that is 960 pixels wide, so I recommend having at least that much room. I've loaded this page on a Netbook as well, and have had few complications. As for my iPad, iPhone, iDishwasher, a few things. One: iDontOwnOne! Two: iWon'tBuyOne! Three: iWon'tCodeForOne! This may change in the future, but the site will most likely be optimized for a Windows device. Sorry - but I live near Redmond for a reason!
If you discover a problem with the site, use the contact page to drop me a note. I want to get this beast running smoothly so I can take a vacation! So any detailed feedback about what you were doing, the page you were on when the problem occurred, and so on will help out a bunch. Every time a glitch shows up, I take it personally - so they are usually handled as quickly as possible to prevent damage to my ego! So be a pal, and complain when something goes haywire! You do it at the DMV, why not try it here as well!
Sign in! Extra options will be available, and all you need is a facebook account! Eventually I will have a simple form with an email validation check, but for now - facebook it is! Once we know you aren't a 'BOT', you will be able to leave comments, tag photos, rate videos, etc. There are additional goodies for those who create accounts as well - they just aren't written yet!
The help page will be expanded as the questions and comments begin rolling in. As will the FAQ page! So let the games commence!
